FAQ:

  • You have a racer in your family and you are here to support their racing efforts, you are allowed to be onsite. If you come in a different vehicle, please let us know who your racer is so we can note it on our roster sign-in. You must have at least one rider you are “supporting” to be onsite.
  • Are grandma and grandpa, uncle or aunt, cousins, brothers and sisters, race friends/mechanics spectators? Of course not, as in all motocross families, it takes a team of people to ensure their rider has the support needed to race. Just make sure your race team stays in your pit area when not watching the racer navigate the race course during their practice or race.
  • If I am racing by myself, am I allowed on site? Of course you are! You are a racer!
  • Will there be seating for race teams to watch? No seating is provided. Please bring your own lawn chairs and remember, you must remain 6 feet away from others when at the fence lines.
  • Will I need a face mask? Yes, please wear a facemask when entering the track at the front gate sign in, at the racer registration, in staging and on the starting line with your racer and while watching your racer navigate the course.
  • There will be no exceptions for not wearing face masks in the locations requiring them to be worn. You will be warned 1 time. If you fail to follow this policy you may be asked to leave with no refund of any kind. We certainly don’t want that to happen so just wear the mask when required and we will all have a great race weekend.

Dave Flach, Owner of Echo Valley Farms MX, passed away on Friday, May 15th, 2020 at the Age of 77

Dave Flach

Former owner of Accord Speedway, Winchester Speedpark, and current owner of Echo Valley Farm MX

Dave Flach, the owner of Echo Valley Farms, location of the Echo Valley Farms MX is has passed away at the age of 77.

For those who come to know Dave found out very quickly he was a  no non-sense kind of guy who had a passion for racing.  Dave would help people with no questions asked as I was the recipient of his kindness many years ago.

Dave leaves his legacy of racing to his son Steven Flach who has been taking an active role in the family motocross track over the last few years.

Dave took his final checkered flag on Friday, May 15th, 2020.  Rest in Peace my friend.   Jamie Slaughter

MSC 2020 Schedule Update on May 5th, 2020

Due to the current Phase plans for NY and MA States, the Metropolitan Sports Committee has postponed events through mid June.  We have used open dates to allow tracks to move where they could properly fit.  On a normal year, MSC would have left the races where they were scheduled, but we all know that normal isn’t in the equation just yet.

Some highlights of the schedule changes are the first race of the season will be held at Diamondback MX on June 14th.  Holiday Mountain moved it’s opener to July 11th, Walden moved it’s opener to July 19th, Ace/Wick has moved its opener to Saturday July 25th single points event with Sunday 26th being a double points event, and Echo moved its May event to October 18th.

Today, we received guidance from the AMA on new procedures for the safe operation of our tracks.  The AMA did a great job in creating a team of race experts to build facility procedures, recommendations and Best Practices.  We will be posting these new procedures very soon so our riders can prepare for the changes.

We hope by June, there will be an opportunity for our series races to get underway.  Until then, we patiently wait.

MSC would also like to express our condolences to anyone that has lost a loved one during this hard time.  We thank our front line workforce who has battled daily for months while working under very tough conditions.  We salute the doctors, nurses, EMT’s, Police, Fire, and other first responders who all put their lives on the line interacting where this invisible monster exists.  We also thank the food industry, gas stations, and other places of business staying open because they are essential for all of us to live comfortably.  Please be patient, safe and healthy.

Family is Number 1, racing will return soon enough.  Thank you and God Bless.

MSC Schedule Changes made on April 4th, 2020

MSC/AMA D34 Competition Partnership has reviewed our schedule along with the President of the United States’ request to hold off on gatherings until April 30th, 2020, we have postponed the Walden April 19th race date to a date sometime in July.  Walden will let us know the date as soon as they can.     NEW SCHEDULE CLICK HERE

We realize this pandemic and the courses of actions our government has put in motion severely impacts so many people and businesses.  We hope this ends swiftly so everyone’s lives can go back to normal.

Although Motocross is our focus, family is number one.  Please remain careful, follow CDC instructions, and use common sense.  We pray that everyone comes out of this healthy.

God bless,

James Slaughter, Chairman

MSC’s response to COVID-19

In an effort to protect the riders and spectators that attend Metropolitan Sports Committee events and to be in compliance with the rules set forth by the local, county and state government, the MSC Race Schedule has now been changed.

We have moved the first race at Walden MX from March 29th, 2020 to the scheduled rain date of April 19th, 2020.  The Orange County Fair MX race scheduled for April 5th, 2020 has been cancelled, and the April 26th, 2020 race has now been moved to May 17th, 2020.  We hope the issues surrounding the “Corona” virus will subside sooner than later.  If more changes happen, we will be sure to let you know as soon as we can.

We thank you for supporting our sport and the M.S.C. Championship Motocross Series.  We hope you and your family remain healthy and are not negatively impacted by this virus or the worldwide reaction to it. God Bless.

James Slaughter, Chairman
