This was a double point race weekend.  This weekend’s race is at Twister Valley.  I will not be there this weekend, but Tracey Floor will be filling in for me.  Day Passes and Memberships will be available in the morning at the sign up shed.

Points for Twister Valley MX 6/1/14

Here are the points from Twister Valley 6/1.  Our next race is at Orange County on 6/8.

Just a few reminders:

When you are a Novice or Amateur rider who is moving yourself up you need to tell me so I am aware of it (and can make you a new card)  and also so you can see if your number will still be good in the next class!

If your bike breaks down and you run a borrowed bike – you need to make sure you get your own MSC number on the borrowed bike.  I know things happen, but you will not get your points if you don’t have your number on the borrowed bike.  It’s not good enough to “talk to the track owner” or just tell whoever is in the booth.  The color can be waived for the day, but you must always use your own number.

If you are waiting for new backgrounds to come, it is acceptable to use colored duck tape on your bike so you are running the right colors!  If you are at least attempting to follow the rules, it is appreciated.  Those of you who need to add numbers on your plates when riding with the MSC, should use tape that is visible to the scorers.  Light blue painters tape and silver duct tape is very hard to see.

Points for Claverack MX 5-18-14

Here are the points from Claverack 5/18/14. This was a Double Point race, as well as the first race that background colors were checked.  Most of you received your points.  If you did not receive your points this week, you may want to check the rulebook to make sure you have the right color background. It is also important to use your MSC assigned number.

I want to mention again that a simple fix for not having the correct color is to use duck tape ($5 @Walmart) around the edges of the plates to at least show you are attempting to follow our rules. We know that some Mini riders run other districts and need the white plates – this is the easiest way to fix your problem.

Next week at Echo Valley will be another Double Point race, so be prepared!

Points for Echo Valley 5-11-14

5/16/14 : It has been mentioned to me that someone is posting on Facebook that the colors don’t count this weekend. THIS IS A FALSE RUMOR!

BACKGROUND COLOR CHECK BEGINS AT CLAVERACK MAY 18TH – wrong color backgrounds = no Championship points

Here are the points from the 5/11 race at Echo Valley.  The next race is at Claverack and will be our first Double Points event.  This is the race when I will begin checking everyone’s background colors.  If you do not have the proper color backgrounds – your points will not count towards the Championship.  (The only exception will be new members on race day)

The proper colors are as follows:

Pee Wee 50cc – White plates/Black numbers

65cc – 85cc classes – Yellow plates/Black numbers

Novice – Black plates/White Numbers

Amateur – Yellow plates/Black numbers

Expert – White plates/Black numbers

Women/Girls – Red plates/ White or black numbers – Blue is accepted for the “Pro card” holders

Your MSC assigned number must be used on all 3 sides of your bike – we need this to be able to Score you easier!    If you have to borrow a bike on race day, use a paper plate to get your number on there for the day.   This is nothing new, so be ready!

Points from Twister Valley 5/4/14

Here are the points from Twister.  As you will see, many classes did not get points due to not enough riders in the class. (You must have 5 riders signed up in order to receive points)  I have not yet posted the Girls class. I will do so at a later time once something is clarified.

The next race is at Echo on Mother’s day May 11th.  This will be the last race that you can get away with not having the proper background colors.  On May 18th I will begin checking color backgrounds and you will not receive points if you are not using the correct ones.

Pee Wee 50cc – White plates with black numbers

65cc/Junior Mini/Mid Mini/Senior Mini/Open Mini – Yellow plates with black numbers

Women/Girls – Red plates with either white or black numbers (Blue is accepted for those holding Pro cards)

Novice – Black plates with white numbers

Amateur – Yellow plates with black numbers

Expert – White plates with black numbers

Here are the points from the 4/27 race at OCFMX.  Please note that I am not checking background colors until the May 18th race at Claverack.  I am aware that there are some people out there with the wrong colors. Thank you, but I need to give everyone time to get their stuff in order.  If you are not sure of what color background is necessary to receive your Championship points, please look at the rulebook on the MSC website.

Here are the Championship Points from Claverack 4/13/14.  We had an awesome turnout which made for a great day of racing!

I will not be checking for background colors until the next Claverack race on May 18th.  That will be a double points race, so be sure you have the right color on your bikes.  It is also required that you have your correct MSC number on your bike. Anyone who joined this weekend received points, but in order to receive points in the future, you will need the correct number.

Riders should have their MSC riding number on ALL 3 SIDES of your bike.

Please note: the +35 class is not being offered at all tracks this year. It is a NON points class.

Pee Wee 4-6, 7-8 & Oil Injected classes please take note of the updated rule stating that these classes are Stock Classes only.

Membership cards are being made and will be coming in the mail next week.

Enjoy your Easter holiday and we’ll see you at Orange County MX on the 27th!
