Just a reminder to get your 2011 MSC Banquet reservations in soon. Time is passing quickly and the deadline is the weekend of February 12th. There are soooo many of you I have not heard from yet. The tables seat 10 this year. Remember to let me know who you would like to sit by (or who you can’t be put near…) and please mark down if your reservations include any free meals!! There is alot of work to be done, and the longer you wait, the harder it is to get everything done.

We have visited the resort, and we will have LOTS of room this year. There is ample parking and hotel rooms if anyone wanted to stay over.

So, get those reservations mailed in fast! There will only be a limited amount of reservations accepted by phone. Last year too many people called and then didn’t show up. This makes us order meals that do not get eaten, but we still have to pay for.

Hello to everyone,

Congratulations to the M.S.C. CHAMPIONS and their Motocross Families.

A big “THANK YOU” to the M.S.C. Tracks and their support team.

To our Registrar/PointsKeeper, Amy Rutledge, a job well done! Results were posted on the M.S.C. WEB SITE and at the tracks promptly. Cards were mailed out or available at the tracks each week. She attended every race (Saturday & Sunday). Championship Points have been posted early. In addition, Amy is busy with her many family obligations. We thank her for her diligent and sincere attention to our M.S.C.

The Bike Raffle will offer two motorcycles: A KX 250F, purchased from Matt’s Cycle Center, and a YZ 125 2 stk. purchased from Dutchess Recreational Vehicles. Hundreds of Door Prizes. 1-10 Trophies for each class. Jackets for 1st. Place Winners. Hoodies for the Youth Class 1st. Place Winners. 2nd. Place – 10th Place Winners – sweatshirts. #1 Plates for “A” EXPERT Classes (donated by Hunter Motorcycle). Complimentary Dinner for the 1st. Place Class Winners.

Final Points for 2011 Season

Everything has been gone over, and these are the final results for the season. There were a few ties that could not be broken, so those people will each get a trophy at the banquet. Please check the spelling of your name, these will be the names and points listed in the Knobby News. The Knobby News will go out after Christmas, so if anybody has a new address, please let us know so we can get it to you.

Renewals can be sent through the mail to the address listed on the application. $25 please send a money order, no personal checks. All numbers will be held for you until March 1st. If you are moving up to a new class please make note of it on the application.

Reminder about Background Colors

Just a reminder about riders using the correct background colors…….even though in the past we have gotten away from really enforcing the correct colors, it is not fair to those riders who do actually Read the Rulebook and put the proper color on their bikes. This season, we will be enforcing the proper colors, and if riders do not comply, then championship points will NOT be given.

So we are clear: Pee Wee 50′s are White background, Black numbers

Youth 65cc & 85cc classes are Yellow background, Black numbers

Novice is Black background, White numbers

Amateur is Yellow background, Black numbers

Expert is White background, Black numbers

Women are RED background, White numbers

There are quite a few riders going around with the wrong colors. This is something you will want to fix. We have been saying since last season that we will be doing something about the problem this season. It is your own responsibility to read the rulebook and know what is expected of you.

Also, please remember, riders must display their assigned MSC number on whatever bike you are riding in order to receive your championship points. If you borrow a bike for the day, use a paper plate or whatever necessary to display the correct number. Same as it was last year.

Finalized MSC Championship Points

Hi everyone - Here are the finalized version of the Championship points for this season. I went back through each race to look for errors, fixed what I found and broke as many ties as I could. I haven’t heard anything about names being spelled wrong, etc. so we will assume they are all correct. Leah will begin to set things up to go to the printer soon, so speak now or don’t complain later!

Information for the banquet will be going up soon, and don’t forget that you can mail in your renewals anytime now to save your number for next year. -Amy
