ROUND 2 RACE REPORT

After such a cold winter and first round, it was nice to have such a beautiful weekend given to us by Mother Nature!  Riders from all over the Northeast made the trek to Hudson, NY for the “Claverack National”.

Novice classes were stacked with qualifiers in both 250 and Open C.

The 250 C win went to Ian Kearon #517 out of Denville, NJ !

PeeWee 7-8 was packed with talent and the #547 Cobra Rider Troy Klein picked up the win with a 1-1!

Women’s Class Rider Amberly Goyette #826 from Southwick, MA also went 1-1 against 13 of the fastest women in Northeast Motocross on her tail.

Many great battles took place, more war stories from years past were told, and at the end of the long day, the Claverack National was completed for the 2018 season.

Round 1 Race Report

Racing got underway at Orange County Fair Motocross on April 15th, 2018 for Round 1 of the MSC Championship Motocross Series presented by Honda.

The temperature all day never got above 37F Degrees, but that didn’t stop MSC’s hard core riders from braving the brisk air and banging bars forthe top spot on the podium.

Some top news from this event, MSC’s rider rep Walt Decker earned the top spot in the Plus 40C class for the first time ever.  Congratulations Walt!  To celebrate his win, his son Jack also won his class abord the #44 Kawasaki Sponsored by Big Boyz Toys Kawasaki.

Amateur riders Jack Brining #827 battled hard with newly turned Amatuer rider Robert Everhart #270 for the top spot in 250B.  Aaron Lampi had a fight on his hands early in both Open A motos with Alex Lewis #31.  At one point, Alex made a move passing Lampi briefly over the finishline on lap one, but Lampi #813 wicked up the throttle and pulled away for the remainder of both motos.

Plus 50 riders and Ace MX Club Officers Mike Hoensch #58, Rob Angot #665, and Long Time MSC Rider Tom Hall #51 got tangled up resulting in a 30 minute delay.  All riders were able to get off the track with Hoensch sustaining a few injuries.  In good spirits Hoensch is on the mend and will return to racing as soon as he can.  For now, he will help his son Benny #51 stay fast in PeeWee 7-8 and PeeWee Open. We wish Mike and all our riders who crashed this weekend a speedy recovery.
