About John Coen:
John Coen of Newburgh, New York, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at home, after a hard-fought battle with kidney cancer. Born on January 17, 1961, in Newburgh, NY, John was a local business owner of Art and John’s Auto Body Shop, a family-run business that John put all his dedication and hard work into.
John was an enthusiastic motocross racer, with a need for speed. His passion and love for the sport led him to become the founder of Diamondback MX, a track that was “Built by Racers, For Racers”. John was also a member of the AMA and MSC organizations. He was a wonderful man who always knew how to make you smile with his corny jokes and playful humor. This event is held in his memory, honoring his contributions and legacy in the motocross world.

Memorial Races: Both pro sport classes will be a Memorial Race for both gentlemen. The Chris Moore Memorial 250 Pro Sport and Austin Behrens Memorial Pro Sport class winners will receive a 6 Foot Tall Trophy in honor of our fallen friends!

The MSC Championship Motocross Series AMA District 34’s last round for 2023 is at the Walden Playboys MC for Round 20 starting with Moto 1 on Saturday, October 21st and Moto 2 on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023.
Contingency this season is the largest in the history of the MSC Championship MX Series. With over $900,000 up for grabs from the manufacturers, now is the time and MSC is the place.
Please keep in mind that Walden is running District 2 in conjunction with MSC District 34. The classes may differ. Make sure you sign up with the class that matches the class you ran with MSC in 2023. You can find our class list on our website at RACE CLASSES.
Due to circumstances beyond MSC’s control, Performance Recreation Cobra will not be onsite to support riders this weekend. Please contact Dan in advance if you need Cobra Brand specific parts prior to heading to Walden. Valley Moto Shop will be there and had ramped up on mini parts to help our riders continue racing this weekend.
