Monster Energy Loretta Lynn’s Area Qualifiers: Two rounds on the schedule will double as Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship Area Qualifiers, giving riders the opportunity to compete for a spot at the prestigious Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Nationals. These qualifiers will take place:
- May 3–4 at Walden MX in Wallkill, NY
- May 25–26 at Diamondback MX in Carlisle, NY
These events offer a unique chance for riders to compete on the national stage while earning valuable MSC Championship points.
AMA Pro-Am Events: The schedule features multiple AMA Pro-Am races, offering riders a chance to earn national recognition while competing for championship points at Walden MX, Orange County Fair MX, and Diamondback MX.
Wildcard Events: Select races have been designated as Wildcard Events, where riders can earn bonus points based on overall results, adding a layer of strategy to the championship hunt.
Double Points Races: Key events, such as those at Boondock, Echo Valley and Orange County Fair MX, will offer double points, creating exciting opportunities for riders to surge ahead in the standings.
Playoff Rounds: The final five rounds of the series form a high-stakes playoff format, culminating in a grand finale at Walden MX on October 25–26, 2025. These rounds will determine the ultimate MSC Champion.
Innovative Points System
The 2025 MSC Championship introduces an updated points system that rewards both consistency and high performance, making every race—and every position—matter. Here’s how it works:
Regular Season Points System
Points are awarded per Moto, emphasizing strong performance in every race. A 1st place finish earns 25 points, while riders down to 40th place will still score a point. This system ensures that every competitor has a chance to contribute to their overall standing, no matter where they finish.
Wildcard Events
Select races are designated as Wildcard Events, where bonus points are awarded based on overall race results. These bonus points range from +50 for 1st place to +2 for 20th–40th place, giving riders a chance to make significant gains in their championship standings.
Wildcard points will not be used during the playoffs, adding strategic importance to these select events in the regular season. Riders will need to bring their A-game to capitalize on these opportunities.
Double Points Races
To ramp up the intensity, double points will be awarded at key races. These events can make or break a rider’s championship hopes, rewarding those who perform under pressure with the ability to leapfrog their competition.
Playoff Format
The playoffs feature a unique points system to raise the stakes. A 1st place finish in a playoff Moto earns 100 points, with points awarded down to 40th place. These final five rounds will decide the series champion, making every move on the track critical.
Why This System is Exciting
More Opportunities for Riders: The inclusion of Wildcard Events and double points races means riders have multiple ways to climb the standings, ensuring that everyone has a shot at glory.
Strategic Racing: With bonus points and varying race formats, riders must strategize their seasons carefully. It’s no longer just about winning races—it’s about winning at the right times.
High-Stakes Playoffs: The playoff rounds bring a new level of excitement, where every Moto is a chance to secure the championship. The 100-point system ensures that one bad race doesn’t ruin a rider’s chances, while rewarding consistent excellence.
Fan Engagement: The dynamic points system keeps fans on the edge of their seats, as standings can shift dramatically from race to race. The heightened stakes of Wildcard and playoff events add layers of drama and excitement.
