Diamondback Motocross at The Ranch at Carlisle is proud to host the John Coen Memorial AMA Pro-Am Weekend on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Join us for a full weekend of motocross as we honor the memory and legacy of John “Johnny”  Coen.


Saturday, July 18 – Open Practice

Gates Open: 7:00 AM

Practice Entry Fee: $40 per practice group

Riders may purchase entries for multiple practice groups if eligible. Each practice group requires a separate entry fee and helmet sticker.

Pit vehicles include UTVs, golf carts, ATVs, and pit bikes. All pit vehicles must have a weekend pass displayed while in use on the property.

Important: Pit bikes may only be operated on the designated pit bike track. Pit bikes are not permitted to be ridden around the facility or in general pit areas.

MSC Championship Motocross Returns to Diamondback MX During Motors, Mud & Mayhem Weekend presented by Motorex!

The MSC Championship Series heads back to Diamondback MX at The Ranch at Carlisle for an action-packed weekend of motocross racing as part of the inaugural Motors, Mud & Mayhem Festival on June 20-21, 2026.

This isn’t just a motocross race weekend—it’s a full-scale motorsports festival featuring motocross, diesel trucks, burnouts, freestyle exhibitions, vendors, camping, and family entertainment.

Saturday Open Practice

Saturday’s Open Practice runs from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, giving riders ample track time to dial in their bikes, learn the course, and prepare for Sunday’s championship racing action.

Practice groups will be organized to provide safe and productive track time for all skill levels.

Sunday Championship Racing

On Sunday, riders from across the Northeast will battle for valuable MSC Championship points at Diamondback MX. From youth classes to experienced racers, the competition is expected to be fierce as the championship season continues.

The motocross portion of the weekend will also feature the Austin Behrens Memorial, honoring a rider whose passion for the sport left a lasting impact on the motocross community.

The Metropolitan Sports Committee (MSC) Championship MX Series heads into Round 3 with one of the most meaningful and highly anticipated events of the season—the 3rd Annual Christopher Moore Memorial Pro-Am at Walden Motocross.

This event is held in memory of Christopher Moore, a rider and friend to many whose passion for motocross and positive presence in the pits left a lasting impact on the community. His legacy continues through this race, bringing riders together each year to compete, remember, and support one another.

Riders and fans can expect a full weekend of racing, competition, and tribute at one of the premier tracks in the region.

The 2026 MSC Motocross Championship Series is officially underway, and after an exciting opening round at Orange County Fair MX, we head into Round 2 at Echo Valley MX in Coeymans Hollow, NY.

After a long winter, this is the weekend many riders and families have been waiting for—getting back into the routine of Friday night roll-ins, early gate drops, and spending the weekend with the people who make this sport feel like home. Echo Valley always brings a strong turnout, and with MSC Championship Points on the line, expect a competitive and high-energy day of racing.

With OEM contingency support from GasGas, Honda, Husqvarna, KTM, and Triumph, there’s even more incentive to line up and make your motos count.

Before heading to the track, make sure you’re fully prepared:

  • MSC Membership: $50 (2026 season – race day only)

  • MSC Day Pass: $20

  • AMA Membership: $49 (annual) or $25 (day pass)

Important Reminder:

  • AMA Minor Waiver is REQUIRED for all riders under 18

  • Must be signed by both parents

  • Complete this before arriving (there is little to no service at the track)

Track Notes – Read Before You Arrive

  • Pit Bikes:
    Allowed for riders 21+ only
    Must be operated respectfully and parked after riding hours

  • Correct Entrance Matters:
    There are two driveways—only one is correct

    • From Exit 21B (Coxsackie) → Route 143 → FIRST driveway (correct)

    • From Exit 22 (Selkirk) → Route 396 → SECOND driveway (incorrect)

Choosing the wrong entrance will likely get you stuck—plan ahead.

  • Pit Bike Race

  • Start Time: 5:00 PM Saturday

These races are always a highlight of the weekend and a great way to bring everyone together after a full day at the track.

We want to take a moment to thank Eric Kidney and his father Butch for their time and dedication to the MSC series. Their contributions over the years have been greatly appreciated.

The MSC AMA District 34 Championship Series kicks off with Round 1 at Orange County Fair Motocross in Middletown, NY as an AMA Pro-Am event. This is where the season starts—points, pressure, and opportunity all begin here.

Eligible riders can take advantage of contingency programs from GasGas, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Triumph, and Yamaha. In addition, riders can benefit from the Rocky Mountain Race Gas Program, adding even more value to competing in the MSC Championship Series. 🛑 Safety & Rules (IMPORTANT)

All riders and families must review the following requirements prior to arrival. These will be strictly enforced. Is is highly suggested that parents obtain the AMA Annual Minor Waiver prior to attending any AMA Sanctioned event.  Parents may still complete a waiver at the track but must follow the rules for this listed in the link below.  The AMA Annual Minor Release cannot be completed at the track and must be done in advance online—no exceptions. AMA Announces 2026–2027 Motocross Rule Updates

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has announced several rule changes affecting motocross competition. As an AMA-sanctioned series, MSC AMA District 34 will implement and enforce the following updates.


Mandatory Chest & Back Protection – Effective 2026

Beginning January 1, 2026:

It is mandatory that chest and back protection be worn by all competitors.

The protector:

  • May be worn under or over the jersey

  • Must cover the sternum

  • Must cover the anterior ribs

  • Must cover the posterior ribs

  • Must protect the spine from T1 to T12

Riders without proper protection will not be permitted on track.


Competition Rule Updates – Effective 2026

Yellow Flag

Yellow flag violations will result in a 5-position penalty.

Red Cross Flag

Red Cross flag violations will now follow language similar to the yellow flag rule (no longer based on “wheels on the ground”).
Penalty for violations will be 10 positions.

Minibike Classes

The wheelbase maximum has been eliminated.

Schoolboy 2

250cc 2-strokes are now allowed in Schoolboy 2.

Limited Class & Displacement Violations

First-time violations of Limited class and displacement rules will result in suspension.


Youth Waiver Enforcement – Effective 2025 (Still In Effect)

The previously implemented Youth Waiver rules and enforcement procedures (effective 2025) remain in full effect for the 2026 season.

All youth participants must:

  • Have properly completed AMA youth waivers

  • Meet all parental/guardian signature requirements

  • Comply with all existing AMA youth participation policies

There are no changes to this policy for 2026.


Age Change – Effective 2027

Beginning in 2027, the minimum age for an Amateur rider will increase from 12 to 14 years old.


These updates reflect the AMA’s continued focus on safety, consistency, and accountability across all sanctioned competition.

Chest Protector Mandate for ALL RACERS in 2026

Beginning January 1, 2026, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has implemented a new equipment requirement for all competitors.

New Rule:
